Maharashtra Hybrid Seeds Co. is an agricultural company based in India. It is one of the country's major producers of seed established by Dr B.R.Barwale in 1964. Given that agriculture was the means of livelihood to over 90% of the population then, he believed that improving agricultural productivity will help to improve the income of the farmers, and contribute to food security of the nation.
Mahyco Grow sheds light upon Dr Barwale’s vision for the future of his company. He envisioned that application of Science through Seeds would help to find solutions to farming challenges, to improve farm productivity and that it will only grow in the time to come. Mahyco Grow is the umbrella brand for several seed companies that are established within the group.
